eBay - Endless Items & Eternal Bargains

Friday 6 September 2013
eBay is close to 20 years old, and has had many many additions in that period of time. I remember my first eBay encounter, assisting my mum with a purchase of a "Silver trinket box" it took around 2 weeks to arrive, was almost the size of a shoe box, clearly only silver in colour not material and broken hahahaha mum unwrapped it and chucked it straight in the bin.
I then had a crack myself in the days before PayPal and I bought a Lord of The Rings bookmark from USA (accidentally), it cost me $2 USD, but a further $10 to post a money order there to pay for it hahahaha.

Then another disaster when my mum was trying to put a bid in of $100.00 but typed $100,00 which changed to be $100,000 hahahaha.

Even though I have had my fair share of fails on eBay, I have also had some great great finds. With much easier search fields, "Buy it Now" and "Best Offer" listings and the ability to limit to Australian based items only, it really is a fun and easy place to shop.

Check out these babies - new in the box, still with the tissue paper, spare heel caps and zero marks on the sole. Guess?! (hehe geddit?) how much they were, knowing retail they are $169.95!

A. $100 + $12 postage
B. $50 + $12 postage
C. $25 + $12 postage
D. $10 + $12 postage

The answer is "D" can you believe it was more to post them than to actually buy them?

Although I have had a few eBay disasters, I am sure the bargains fair outweigh the fails.
